Job Description
A caregiver is a professional who assists individuals who have difficulty performing basic day-to-day activities, such as the elderly, the disabled, or those with chronic or mental disorders
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Helping clients take prescribed medication
- Assisting clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or
- Assisting clients with personal care and hygiene
- Helping clients with physical therapy exercises
- Planning and preparing meals with assistance from the clients
- Doing the client’s shopping or accompanying them when they shop
- Performing light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
- Being a pleasant and supportive companion
- Reporting any unusual incidents
- Acting quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Good physical strength and stamina
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Able to effectively work as part of a team
