Job Description
Laundry attendants play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of hotels, resorts, healthcare facilities, and other establishments. As a laundry attendant, you will be responsible for washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens, garments, and other textiles.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment to clean and sanitize linens and clothing items
- Inspect items for stains, damage, or wear, and ensure that they meet quality standards before returning them to circulation
- Fold and sort clean laundry items ensuring they are neatly organized and ready for use
- Keep track of linen and textile inventory
- Report shortages, and restock as necessary to maintain adequate supplies
- Assist guests or residents with laundry-related inquiries by providing helpful and friendly service
Qualifications and Skills Required
- No formal education is required
- Able to pay strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to multi-task effectively
